Fundraisers

Please see the home page for information on upcoming fundraisers.

Jonathon Cote was a U.S. Army Airborne Veteran from Western NY who served in Afghanistan & Iraq. He was taken hostage, along with four others, while working as a private security contractor in Iraq on November 16th, 2006. He was held captive/missing for 523 days before his body was flown home to us in Buffalo on April 28th, 2008.

Jonathon loved riding his motorcycle. For 10 years, Jon’s family and friends organized a memorial a motorcycle ride and fundraising event in his honor. Proceeds from these events funded an annual $1,000 scholarship for a student of Williamsville North High School in Jon’s memory and additional funds were donated to WNYHeroes, in order to help them serve and support our WNY military heroes and their families.

In 2019, after the end of the motorcycle rides and fundraisers, Jon’s sister Samantha started an annual workout fundraiser in Jon’s honor.
In addition to riding his motorcycle, Jon loved to workout, eat healthy and stay fit so this new type of fundraiser is just perfect to honor Jon.

Monies raised from these workout fundraisers are also used for the $1000 scholarship in Jonathon’s name at Williamsville North HS and the remaining funds are donated to WNYHeroes.
