On March, 2026, we gave a check for $7,000 to the Child Life Specialist Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. These monies were raised at our 2025 Memorial Workout. Most people don’t realize that Child Life Specialists are funded almost entirely through donor support. They are the people who sit with children during scary procedures, explain things in ways kids can understand, bring moments of play and normalcy into hospital rooms, and support families during long hospital stays. They’re also there when the unthinkable happens. Helping comfort parents, siblings, and even the child during end-of-life care. It felt incredibly meaningful to direct this year’s donation to the people who bring so much compassion and humanity into pediatric care.
